It is hard for an attorney to acquire the knowledge and experience necessary to provide innovative and topical legal advice if the attorney never leaves the comfort of a law office.  We are often called upon to assist our clients in the field, whether that may be helping out at a manufacturing plant, a healthcare facility, or on a Russian research vessel in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.  We are proud of our client's achievements, and we enjoy helping them achieve success -- even if that means applying our skills beyond the boardroom or off the golf course.  Here are just a few examples.

       

David Concannon has been an advisor to six expeditions to the wreck of the R.M.S. Titanic, and a participant in three Titanic expeditions.  His clients have included film-makers, an adventure travel company and the company that recovers artifacts from the Titanic to display in exhibitions around the world.  

In August 2005, David Concannon led the last expedition to the Titanic.  The expedition explored new areas of the Titanic wreck site that Concannon discovered in 2000, examined large sections of the Titanic's double bottom hull that had been seen but not studied on prior expeditions, and redrew the map around the Titanic by a wide margin.  A television program based on the expedition, TITANIC'S FINAL MOMENTS: MISSING PIECES, hosted by "Shadow Divers" John Chatterton and Richie Kohler, has aired repeatedly on The History Channel and other networks in the United States and the United Kingdom.  The new book TITANIC'S LAST SECRETS, by Brad Matsen, describes "the further adventures " of Chatterton and Kohler and begins with their account of the expedition. 

David Concannon has also served as a legal advisor to several international expeditions, including two expeditions to Mt. Everest; the X-PRIZE Foundation, which awarded a $10 million prize for the first private space flights; an expedition to explore the Bismarck; and the Atlantic Sands expedition, which discovered the world's deepest wooden shipwreck resting 16,100 feet deep in the Bermuda Triangle.
